OUR FOUNDERS
We are Giulia and Mery, two kindred spirits who met in Alicante and, through our shared passions and dreams, created something truly special.⨠Giulia is Italian and settled in Alicante after years in Dublin. A former professional volleyball player, yoga came into her life in 2014, and in 2016 she became certified in India. Since 2017, she’s been teaching yoga, sharing her love for the practice. Her passions include traveling, yoga, animals, and India, and she’s fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English.⨠Mery, originally from Alicante, spent 14 years in Miami working as a fashion designer before shifting to communications and art direction. Yoga became central to her life six years ago, alongside her passion for wellness and psychology. She loves animals, especially marine life, and is a pesco-vegetarian.đ Our paths crossed when Mery found Giulia’s English-language yoga classes in Alicante. We soon realized we shared a vision of creating a yoga space that reflected what we had experienced in other parts of the world. After months of searching, we found the perfect location, and now we’re transforming it into Beyoga—an urban oasis where yoga and community come together, offering a sanctuary of energy and authenticity. With love, G & M
Meet the Team

Mery, co-founder of Beyoga and a creative force behind our space.
â
Her journey began in Alicante, working as a fashion designer for a renowned brand and later in Miami as a freelance designer for American brands. In 2015, she shifted her focus to communication, becoming a partner and art director at an agency, specializing in branding and aesthetic storytelling.
A lover of sports, in 2004 she trained for a year with the Spanish Federation of Aerobics and Fitness (FEDA), teaching classes at various gyms while balancing her work as a designer—long days made enjoyable by her passion for movement. Later, she discovered Pilates Sculpt and Reformer in the United States, and today she incorporates this methodology into her classes, combining strength, body, and well-being.
Her vision for Beyoga reflects her passion for creativity, mindfulness, and community, creating a warm and inspiring space. Outside the studio, Mery is a traveler, nature lover, and advocate for marine life. â¨

Paula, a yoga teacher at Beyoga.
Originally from Argentina and now based in Alicante, she discovered yoga while searching for more balance after many years working in an office. What began as a personal practice to reconnect with her body and quiet her mind soon became her true vocation.
She trained in Hatha Yoga before continuing her studies in Anusara Yoga and Anugraha Yoga. Her ongoing learning also includes applied biomechanics, Yin Yoga, Rocket Yoga, and meditation.
Naturally curious and full of energy, Paula loves dancing, singing at the top of her lungs, spending time in nature, and being close to the sea. She is deeply moved by sunsets, meaningful conversations, and creating spaces where people can connect in an authentic way.
Her classes combine precision, flow, and mindful movement, inviting students to explore themselves through breath, alignment, and awareness. Her intention is for everyone who steps into her class to find a space where they can move, grow, reconnect, and feel a little more at home within themselves.

Meet Bibi, a yoga teacher at Beyoga.
Originally from Hungary, Bibi’s nickname comes from her given name, Bíbor, which in her language refers to a poetic shade of red-purple. Specializing in Hatha and Vinyasa, Bibi’s classes combine depth, creativity, and flow, helping you connect with your breath, body, and the present moment. Meet Fer, a pilates sculpt teacher at Beyoga.
Fer discovered the Pilates method over five years ago, and since then it has transformed the way she inhabits her body. This practice has accompanied her through challenging moments and taught her to move with slowness, patience, and compassion, values she brings to every class. Her goal is to guide her students to inhabit their bodies in the present moment, without judgment, with love and awareness.
Trained in Madrid at Escuela Movimiento and City Pilates alongside Gaby Zolini, Fer specialized in Mat and Reformer Pilates, and continues learning and evolving to offer deep and mindful classes.
Passionate about nature, the beach, mountains, breakfasts and brunches, and alternative therapies, Fer integrates movement, curiosity, and self-knowledge into her life. She explored various sports and disciplines from a young age, but Pilates is her true love and what inspires her to teach every day.
At Beyoga, Fer invites you to connect with your body, take care of yourself, and enjoy movement, making every class a moment just for you.
đ You can find Fer’s classes on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Meet Romi, a yoga teacher at Beyoga.
Romi is sensitivity, intuition, and a deep inner search.
Her journey began through music —trained in transverse flute at the conservatory— and travel, with a degree in Tourism and Hospitality. But it was yoga where she found her true language: a way to connect body, mind, and life.
She teaches Hatha, Kundalini, and yoga with elements, guiding from a holistic perspective. Her approach is enriched by her studies in positive psychology, mindfulness, and emotional management, allowing her to hold space with presence, awareness, and authenticity.
Before settling in Alicante, she lived between guiding travelers in Ushuaia and sharing yoga around the world — a reflection of her free and curious spirit.
A Gemini and a true traveler at heart, she treasures experiences like watching the sunrise over Cappadocia in a hot air balloon or meditating with monks in Tibet.
She has been vegetarian since before she was born and has never eaten meat — a natural expression of her way of living with intention and respect.
An animal lover (especially pandas), she enjoys simple pleasures like eggplant milanesas and Indian food… and admits, with humor, that keeping plants alive is still her biggest challenge.

Meet Almu, a yoga teacher at Beyoga.
Fully devoted to yoga since 2018, Almu shares her path through regular classes, experiences, and retreats, always guided by presence and heart.
Natural, warm, and open, she teaches from authenticity — holding space with a genuine smile and a deeply grounded energy.
Her journey has been shaped by diverse trainings in Spain and India, exploring different styles while staying rooted in self-inquiry, awareness, and continuous learning. Deeply in love with India, she returns every year, spending one or two months immersed in its teachings, learning from local masters and reconnecting with the roots of her practice.
She currently teaches Vinyasa and Hatha, blending flow and strength, softness and consistency — inviting each student to reconnect with themselves through the practice.
Beyond the mat, her world is deeply connected to love and nature. She shares a special bond with her sister, and her newest, purest love is her niece — a constant reminder of joy, tenderness, and presence.
She feels most at home in nature: watching the sunrise by the sea or getting lost in the mountains, where everything returns to simplicity.
